Exhibition by Guillaume Duprat at the FAR gallery: Mondi immaginati

13th May - 25th June 2017
FAR, gallery of modern and contemporary art, Piazza Cavour - Rimini historic centre
Drawings by the French artist and writer

Even this year Rimini proposes an appointment with graphic art, drawing and illustration of a great contemporary master.
The exhibition by Guillaume Duprat is part of the program of Mare di Libri, A See of Books, that begins on June 16th, and it is within the calendar of events and previews of the Bienniale del Designo Rimini, to be held in 2018.
Duprat is an enthusiast of anthropology, history and cosmogony, attracted by myths, poems and doctrines about the universe. Since more than twelve years he collects in the history of sciences and the religions the descriptions of the world, which he then elaborates graphically and artistically with his crayons and watercolors.
In his works, there are Dante’s kingdoms, as well as the Egyptian topographies that place the pharaoh's souls in the stars and the others one's in the depths of the earth. There are also 'Buried Skies' that mix shamanism and Tibetan Mongolian Buddhism or the Muslim world with the ascension of Muhammad.
In addition to the great historical religions, Duprat has also drawn the universes of indigenous traditions such as the Congolese Spirit Forest and the Parallel Worlds of Guyana.
