Waiting for the Tour de France: Rimini lights up in yellow to welcome the world's most important cycling race in 2024

Una mega scritta per il lancio del Tour De France colora di giallo la spiaggia di Rimini
Tour de France

Rimini is preparing to welcome the yellow caravan of the Tour de France ahead of the Grande Boucle next edition, the first with the inaugural three days in our country and with a historic "Grand Depart" Florence-Rimini, on 29 June 2024.

To pay homage to this historic 2024 and to accompany the official launch of the 111th edition of the event, held in Paris on Wednesday 25 October, Rimini lights up in yellow with Sismondo Castle, the Fountain of the Four Horses, Augustus Arch and Tiberius Bridge shining in the colours of the race for the yellow jersey.

In anticipation of 29 June, when the race will start from Florence, to cover 205 km passing through the Apennines and the Marecchia Vally to San Marino finally reaching the finish line by the sea in Rimini, a mega sign for the launch of the Tour De France has also arrived on Rimini beach. Actually, on Thursday, 19 October, the beach (between bathing establishments 53 and 55) was coloured yellow with 150 yellow umbrellas that made up the inscription 'Rimini', flanked by 50 deckchairs that formed the stylised image of a bicycle.

Rimini is ready to host the most important bicycle race in the world, an unmissable sporting, tourist, and cultural event, with important spin-offs in terms of visibility, tourism, and economic induced activity.

After Rimini, the race will continue with two more stages in Italy, the Cesenatico-Bologna on 30 June and the Piacenza-Turin the following day.
