Things to do 2020 - Rimini introduces its event schedule for a year under the flag of "La dolce vita"

Cose da fare 2020

100 events not to be missed, 15 different types of guided tours at the discovery of the art of the city between the sea and the historical downtown, 20 markets and street markets, from the main plazas to the 15 km of the seaside promenade. And then there are the events held in the hinterland, among villages and castles telling the tale of the Malatesta and Montefeltro Seignories.

Rimini has presented its Things to Do 2020 brochure, a guide to find your way among the many events hosted in the city during this post-Covid summer, including shows and new offers, changes of schedules and confirmations.

A handy pocket-guide to choose and mark in the agenda the many things one can do, despite the current times and the new social rules set in place for everyone's safety, proving Rimini's great skill in looking at the future with its natural ability to welcome and interpret the Italian smile that not by chance has become thesymbol of this summer in Romagna.

After a quiet spring, summer roars back to life with a full schedule of unique events in Italy: from the 130 events listed in the program for the summer arenas including cinemas and shows:"E la chiamano Rimini" is without a doubt the main event, the most sought after and the longest of the summer, then there is the pink week aptly titled "Notte Rosa", and a festival dedicated specifically to travelers under the name ‘Lonely Planet, Ulisse Fest’ and again a market circus all focused on flavors and dreams ‘Al meni’ with Chef Massimo Bottura and the cartoon festival ‘Cartoon Club’ and the double event dedicated to Moto GP at the Misano World Circuit. There's even more: from the creativity of "Hand-made" products by the designers of Matrioska, to the best nursery experts that meet on occasion of Giardini d’autore, without forgetting a cultural event that has taken place every year for the past 41 years in August: "Meeting per l’amicizia fra i popoli". Those who love an active vacation will have plenty of the choices from wellness programs offered by the most iconic venues of the city to yoga in the water plaza to a "walk on the beach" at dawn or dusk all the way to"Fluxo", the outdoor gym that allows choosing among 25 different fitness activities. Those who love biking, in addition to the biking tours organized by Emotion bike, certainly must not miss the Italian Bike Festival, followed by one of the most anticipated events: the Giro d’Italia that, in Fall 2020, will cross Romagna in three unmissable stops: Rimini, Cesenatico and Cervia. Cultural events are aplenty too: the summer evenings will host once again “Libri da queste parti”, an event fully dedicated to books focused on Rimini o by authors tied to the city thanks to their personal history while the Roman Lapidary continues to host "Opere allo scoperto", a series of meetings with scholars and experts that will introduce the "jewels" of Rimini's museum heritage. There is also a theater and music festival titled "Le città visibili", as well as a veritable film festival known as the "La settima arte", and an exhibition dedicated to Raffaello Sanzio, boasting the masterpiece "Madonna Diotallevi" deemed one the best paintings by the Urbino-based artist, celebrated in 2020 on occasion of the 500th anniversary of his death.

The music schedule is also rich: boasting national talents of jazz during the event "Paolo Fresu interpreta David Bowie" on occasion of a double show (at 8:30 pm and 10:30 pm) at the Lido arena and the double show by Enrico Rava who together with Stefano Bollani and Gianluca Petrella will take the stage at the Lido arena, and jazz music will continue to be the star with the Fabrizio Bosso & Jazz Inc event and yet again with a fantastic series of shows by Rimini-based artists grouped together in the “E la chiamano Rimini” show to then end in September  with an event that hosts the best orchestras and maestros of the music industry in Rimini on occasion of the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana.

The "Things to do 2020" brochure is available in digital format, in Italian as well as in English, German and French
