“La Notte Rosa” is back in Rimini on Friday 4th July 2014 and for the whole week-end. The Pink Night, the Summer New Year’s eve event celebrates, this year, its 9th edition. Every year on this occasion, the squares and the beach promenades of Rimini Riviera are flooded with pink colour, events and music performances in order to create a magic atmosphere on this special night.
Passion is the theme of this year’s edition proposing a rich calendar of unforgettable events, all linked to the Italian Passion.

And with this passion, the 110 kilometers of the Adriatic coast will light up, from Lido di Comacchio to Cattolica, with concerts, beach parties, performances and entertainment for children and adults, together with exhibitions, readings, fireworks and much more.

The Italian passion has always been recognized in the world and over time it has generated myths and legends: from Ferrari to Ducati, from Giuseppe Verdi to Luciano Pavarotti and Vasco Rossi, from Federico Fellini to Michelangelo Antonioni and from Alberto Tomba to Valentino Rossi.
Italy is also fashion and trend, but also good food such as Parmigiano Reggiano, pasta and ice cream made in Italy.

But the Pink Night 2014 celebrates above all the passion of love with focus on the kiss between Paolo and Francesca told by Dante in V Canto of Inferno.
This kiss has given inspiration to the poster designed by Marco Morosini, a portrait with nuances of the art work by William Dyce and the Bacco by Caravaggio. The images shows two young people between past and present who are kissing softly (she, in Renaissance dress wearing a white headphones mp3 player, he, with nude bust and jeans, with the famous Dante's verses “Amor, ch'a nullo amato amar perdona” tattooed on his arm). The girl has a book lying on her legs, just like in the story of Paolo and Francesca.

The Romagna region has always been the land of passion which may be found in the ballrooms where couples embrace while they are dancing polka and mazurka, but especially in the spontaneous smile of the people and the joy with which they welcome guests, cuddling them with love and passion.

The Pink Night was born in 2006 through the passion of the public and private tourism operators. And the passion is great in this period of work in progress in the locations involved - 12 towns on the Adriatic coast, four provinces, private operators and the regional tourism board - in order to prepare an extraordinary program of the most beautiful night of the summer, which this year will leave an unforgettable memory of passion to the 2 million guests attending the event every year.

Main event of La Notte Rosa in Rimini is the great music performance of the Italian singer and songwriter Elisa. She will performe live in the beautiful square in front of the Grand Hotel, a few steps from the beach, the beloved place by Fellini, Elisa returns to Rimini to start and perform live her new songs and her greatest hits until and after the fireworks display at midnight.
