A must is a walk from the sea area to Rimini historic centre, where a lot of events and initiatives are proposed in famous locations and unexpected venues: music, art, culture, exhibitions, DJ sets and visual mapping.
In the Galli Theatre's construction site an imaginary curtain will raise between lights and sounds over the theatre in reconstruction with disco in the site and the pop rock icon Skin as dj in console. In the background, the magnificent Sismondo Castle creates a dialogue between the medieval era of the Malatesta and the nineteenth century of Giuseppe Verdi. From 00.30 am.
In the already completed spaces of the Galli Theatre, the Foyer and the Sala Ressi, is proposed a magical 'swinging' event of images and notes.
In the Foyer, you enter the story of Rimini in the 20's through the evocative images of the Alessandro Catrani Photo Collection, while upstairs, in the Sala Ressi, the atmosphere changes with a live concert of jazz and swing. From 10 pm to late night.
The Rimini Christmas Square in Piazza Cavour will heat up between the ice rink and the musical energy of a Dj set becoming a large open air dance floor in the New Year's Eve. The music proposed will cross different musical genres in order to find the one that will unleash people in the square. From 11 pm to late at night.
In the modern winf of the City Museum Photo Booth - Have you ever seen that? goes on stage. Photographic sets for unusual portraits between clicks, lights, music and pictures. From 10pm till late at night
Cinema Fulgor, the cinema of Fellini in reconstruction, will be magically lit up for a night with ‘Fulgor for a night: the rediscovered Cinema’ with projections and installations (Corso d’Augusto 162). From 11 pm at late night.
In the Agostiniano Complex it is on schedule 'Music Landscapes: from electronic underground to the light of the Caribbean': a musical event that brings together music and dance, and electronic sounds with the Caribbean music. The German DJs of the 'Cocoon' evening by Sven Väth, which has been held in Ibiza for 16 years, will be the international guests bringing trendy sounds in the Sala Pamphili. For the occasion 'moving art installations' are set up with sounds and colors to involve the audience.
In the Teatro degli Atti it is proposed a happening with Latin dance performances, live music and a DJ set by Gran Caribe. From 10 pm to late night
In the City Museum, from 9.30 pm is proposed 'Waiting for 2017 at the museum': entertainment for families and their children with amusing workshops to discover curiosities and secrets of the past.
In Sala del Giudizio of the Museum, music will meet art in a chamber music concert performed by a female string quartet. As usual, the evening will end with the new year's toast among the fourteenth century school of Rimini frescoes. (Free admission subject to availability of seats)
Special opening at night even at the domus, the Surgeon’s House, with 'Like a Rolling Stone: Bob Dylan and more': among the mosaics of the rooms of Eutyches, the notes of the Nobel Prize winner of literature, Bod Dylan, will sound from 10 pm along with music by Bruce Springsteen, Lou Reed, Coldplay, Van Morrison, Johnny Cash and U2, performed by a famous local acustic trio.
