The exhibition, curated by Giorgio Conti, in collaboration with Gruppo Fotografico 1826 and Biblioteca Gambalunga, and conceived with the collaboration of Patrizia Poggi, aims to reconstruct the author's creative and technical evolution over more than sixty years of photographic experimentation.
The exhibition is divided into seven thematic sections, based on a narration through original images, where the protagonist is black and white analogue photography, from the late 1950s to the early 1970s, period of Italo Di Fabio's international success.
On show more than sixty silver-salt photographic prints and early colour experiments from the late 1960s are on display.
In addition to Italo Di Fabio's photographs, there are also some images by his mentor, Vittorio Ronconi, generously lent by the Centro Italiano di Fotografia d'Autore in Bibbiena.
The opening of the exhibition takes place on Thursday, 14 December at 5 p.m. in the presence of the author and opens with a screening of a video interview with him at the Cineteca Comunale.
