The Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company arrives at cinema with Richard III from the Almeida Theatre in London. In the production by Rupert Goold, Ralph Fiennes is the evil king, Richard III, and Vanessa Redgrave performs in the role as Queen Margaret.
Richard III is one of the early works by William Shakespeare and, according to studies, it was composed in the period between 1592-93. The theatrical tragedy is one of the masterpieces of all time and it focuses on the powerful figure of a negative hero: an egocentrically man and his greed for power, the horror of cruelty and the perverse fascination of blood.
The performance is in English with Italian subtitles.
