In the picturesque setting of Castel Sismondo in Rimini, the Floyd Quartet will perform during the festival "Castel Sismondo Estate". The event has been conceived in order to revive the Pink Floyd live concerts between 1969-1972. The group, before the worldwide success of the albums "The Dark Side of the moon" (1973) and "Wish you were here" (1975), experienced its progressive identity through different ways of music search.
The Floyd Quartet is composed by 4 musicians coming from the largest band the Floyd Machine (Alberto Volpi on bass and gong, Filippo Salomoni on guitar and vocalist, Flavio Camorani on drums, Paolo Bonori on hammond and keyboard). They will play the songs which made popular the Pink Floyd in their erlier live concerts, using vintage instrumentation like Hammond with original Lelslie amplifiers, Farfisa Compact Duo and so on.
