The International Short Film Festival, Amarcort Film Festival, is an important showcase of international short films and a healthy artistic competition.
This year's edition is dedicated to the actor Marcello Mastroianni, who will be remembered in the soundtrack of the video and with a photo exhibition.
Novelty in the 2016 festival: the campus for students of European film schools. There will be lectures on Fellini and Rimini along with a ‘film director school’.
In the contest Festival Amarcort 2016 are added two sections. Besides the traditional sectors of short films, Amarcort, Gradisca, Rex, Fulgor, together with Grand Hotel for the screenplay, there will be the section 'Aldina', dedicated the shorts made by the students of film schools, and also 'Gironzalon' to the experimental ones.
The venue ‘Spazio Duomo’ will become a space for children with screenings of animated shorts from all around the world, every afternoon from 4 pm to 6 pm.
In addition, the international contest of short films, 'Around the world in 80 shorts', which began in March, will be concluded.
Wednesday 7th December is on schedule the award ceremonies, while 8th December there will be a marathon non-stop of all the stages of the festival, ‘Around the world in 80 shorts’.
