Concert by the Terra Promessa Choir
Resort:
Chiesa di Santa Maria dei Servi, piazzetta dei Servi, 1 - Rimini historic centre

Among the evocative golden stuccoes of the Chiesa dei Servi, peace is celebrated with music, songs and words.
The Terra Promessa choir from Cesenatico, led by Maestro Marco Balestri, performs in concert. Some musical pieces are performed on the cello by M° Claudio Casadei and on the piano by M° Franco Benedetto Morri. Narration by Antonio Maria Magri.
The programme consists of ten pieces. The opening is 'Gaudete' (a cappella), followed by the French folk song 'À la crèche, mon voisin'. George Friedrich Händel is the author of the third piece, 'Joy to the World', followed by 'In notte placida' (François Couperin) and the anonymous composition 'Verbum caro factum est'. The second part of the concert begins with the Prelude from Johann Sebastian Bach's 'Suite in G major', and continues with Gabriel Fauré and his 'Lullaby. Dolly suite', with Jean Baptiste Lully and the 'Marche des Rois Mages' and the Gregorian chant 'Adeste fideles'. Closing is the Christmas song par excellence, 'Stille Nacht' by Franz Xaver Gruber.
The concert is promoted by the Acli Rimini, the Laboratorio "Se vuoi la pace prepara la pace" of the Istituto di Scienze Religiose in Rimini, the Istituto Superiore di Scienze Religiose "Alberto Marvelli" of the Dioceses of Rimini and San Marino - Montefeltro, the diocesan Social Pastoral Office, the Parish of Sant'Agostino, and the association Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII.
