From 1st December 2012 to 6th January 2013 who arrives in Rimini will discover something more:
the world's longest New Year’s Eve.

Every corner of the city is transformed into an open-air stage for a month of music, art, performances and great concerts with national and international artists.

The highlight is, as usual, on 31st December with many New Year’s events, from the great concert in Piazzale Fellini, to the performances on schedule in the historic center.

The music appointment in Piazzale Fellini is with a special guest, Elio e le storie tese, the cult group from Milan, who over the years has increased their popularity and success. A live performance with a melting of humor and music, with their exuberant style. On stage: Elio (vocals, flute), Rocco Tanica (piano), Cesareo (guitar), Faso (bass guitar), Christian Meyer (drums), Jantoman (piano), Paola Folli (singer) and Mangoni (artist).

During the New Year’s Eve, the great concert, with a musical prelude not to be missed, the concert of the young Italian singer Arisa, will entertain from 9 pm the audience in the Fellini square in Rimini, a few steps from the sea and from the Grand Hotel.

And when the clock strikes midnight, the beautiful and multicolored fireworks display will light up the sky over the sea in winter to welcome the new year.

The party will continue in the historic centre, with many initiatives and innovative proposals in order to suit all tastes and all ages. The New Year’s Eve events aim to create a networks between Rimini’s two souls, the sea area and the historic center, creating an atmosphere full of suggestions in unexpected and evocative places.

This year, the festival will propose unique events in venues of the city not yet completed and under recostruction: from Cabiria Happy House – the special event by Nico Note Dream Action that, in the Galli Theatre will create a Fellinian atmosphere with electronic sounds and live performances - to continue with Riviera Club Culture, the initiative in the new modern sector of the City Museum, recreating an atmosphere with the sounds of the '80s and '90s.

In Spazio Duomo, the Rimini Sound Lab will propose an event where music and art are blended with opera and jazz through DJ performance and live music, enhanced by photo exhibitions, video projections, references to the Fellini immaginary style and live video painting performance.

In the Corte degli Agostiniani the protagonist will be the rhythms of salsa bachata with the staff of the Gran Caribe.

But the New Year’s Eve in Rimini is also a colorful night of culture. The evocative cinema Fulgor, under recostruction, will be exceptionally open all night long to relive the venue immortalized in Amarcord: the Fulgor the oldest cinema in Rimini and Amarcord, the film that made this town known all over the world. On the other hand Rimini Film Archive proposes a non-stop event from midnight onwards.

On the occasion, the City Museum with its archaeological site “the Surgeon house” will be open with music and midnight toast to wave at the new year, while it is possible to visit the modern art gallery space FAR in Piazza Cavour till 4.00am.

And for those who love to dance, at the Palasport Flaminio the New Year's Eve Dance is on with ballroom dancing led by Mirko and Sandra, champions of folk dance, while the discos in Rimini, for the second consecutive year, are gathered together in the "Movida Rimini Pass", a pass for a night full of fun and entertainment among events outdoor, in disco bars, clubs and pubs, in complete safety.
