Rimini in autumn

Many opportunities to discover the city and a rich calendar of events with music, art, culture, tradition, gastronomy, but also trade fairs and conventions
Rimini continues to impress and attract people by offering an autumn full of events not to be missed. There are many opportunities that animate the city: concerts, exhibitions, trade shows and conferences, guided tours and initiatives related to the tradition and gastronomy.

At the end of the summer still many musical events will take place in Rimini, starting from the side projects of the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana, one of the oldest and most prestigious Italian music festivals: after the concert in honour of of San Gaudenzo, patron saint of Rimini that will be proposed on Octoberb 14th in the beautiful scenery of the Malatesta Temple, the Festival will conclude in November with the Chamber Music Concert at the Teatrop degli Atti.

At 105 Stadium several concerts and events with big names of Italian music will accompany the public throughout the fall starting from Cesare Cremonini live concert (31/10), and then continuing with the superband Fabi-Silvestri-Gazzè (14/11), the new amazing winter tour of Emma (21/11) and Biagio Antonacci presenting the successes of his last record (23.11).

In the City Museum, Galleria dell'Immagine and FAR - Fabbrica Arte Rimini one can visit several exhibitions such as 'Rimini. Photo of Autumn' for the month dedicated to contemporary photography and 'War Stories', which reenacts the public and individual memories of that past on the occasion of the celebrations for the 70th anniversary since the liberation from the Nazi occupation of Rimini.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the Anello delle nuove Piazze (the Ring of the new squares), a project in favour of the requalification of streets and squares in the historic center of Rimini, a new event will take place on Friday, October 10th.  Centro DiVino combines shopping, food, wine, music and culture. The historic centre becomes the natural frame of an event that showcases both the culinary excellence of the province, with large and small agricultural producers and wines selected from the Strada dei vini e dei Sapori di Rimini, and the commercial town center.

From 24th to 26th October Piazza Tre Martiri becomes the sweetest place in Rimini with CioccoRimini, three days of glutton appointments with chocolate: chocolate exhibition, chocolate sculptures, chocolate lessons, chocolate games and entertainment for all ages.

After Gelato World Tour, which confirms Rimini capital of homemade ice cream, Rimini Fiera gives way to autumn with numerous appointments such as Tecnargilla, the International Exhibition of technology and supplie for the Ceramic and Brick Industries (end of September),  Sia Guest, the International Hospitality Exhibition, which is back to Rimini from Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th October, alongside TTG Incontri, the most important b2b international trade fair of the tourism sector in Italy, to develop business in the name of new synergies and new international relations. The programme continues with SUN and GIOSUN, the International Exhibition of Outdoor Lifstyle from 23 to 25 October, with Ecomondo, the International Trade Fair of Material & Energy Recovery and Sustainable Development in November (6th - 8th October) and Gluten Free Expo the first international exhibition in Italy entirely dedicated to food and the gluten-free products (14th - 17th November).

But autumn is also the ideal time to discover a Rimini you do not expect, including itineraries to discover the signs of the Roman world, such as the Tiberius Bridge or the Augustus Arch, source of inspiration for the renaissance architecture, as the Malatesta Temple, one of the masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance. Do not miss a visit to the City Museum and the Surgeon's House, the archaeological complex which has won international reputation for its exceptional surgical and pharmaceutical finds, the richest than ever in ancient times, now on display in the adjacent City Museum along with works of the fourteenth-century Rimini school and many other treasures of art (for information on guided tours +39 0541.704421 - 6).

Artistic and cultural routes can be easily followed and matched with tasty stops in city's restaurants where to taste the typical local dishes, first of all the famous Piada, the typical flatbread of Rimini. Marvellous excursions can be organized in what was once the Malatesta Seignory, a country-side full of fortresses and castles, characterized, in this period, by autumn festivals and events.

And if you're in Rimini and you want to tell about your experience with one click, you can participate in the contest #IamRimini, a photo contest created by Rimini Reservation, which will award a weekend in Rimini in december during 'the New Year longest celebrations in the world'. http://bit.ly/iamrimini
