by car: Rimini - Santarcangelo, 10 km, on the Via Emilia, Statale 9. The drive takes about 20 minutes.
by train: Rimini - Santarcangelo, frequent service. Bicycles may be transported on some trains. Then a 15 minute walk to the centre.
by bus: from Rimini, Bus no. 9 and 90 (www.startromagna.it/servizi/orari-e-percorsi/)
by bike: from Rimini, travel along the banks of the Marecchia River until the intersection with Strada Provinciale 49, turn right and follow the directions for Santarcangelo. This route is not difficult and should take about an hour.
The medieval village is concentrated around its beautiful fortress which can be reached by ascending along the tiny streets that open onto wide panoramas of the Riviera below.
The hill underlying Santarcangelo hides the mystery of the more than 200 caves dug into the limestone; enchanting hypogea, the origins of which are still practically unknown. It is possible to visit them by calling the tourist information office.
Surroundings: not far from the center is the Pieve di San Michele, with a rectangular plan and a round apse. In Poggio Berni, a visit to the Moroni Water Mill is recommended.
