An exhibition that reinterprets the twentieth century through the testimonies taken from the school notebooks of the children of the past from Italy and the world, collected by the Archive of the School Notebooks - historical archive that preserves about 2000 school notebooks from 35 countries of the world dating from the second half of the 19th century to the present day - to approach history through the eyes of children.
The twentieth century was the century of total wars, the economic boom of the West, the definitive completion of globalization, the mass diffusion of media and technology. According to some historians, it was also the "century of the child".
And this is the story that "Piccolo Secolo" makes: History through the fragments of the life and thoughts of the little authors of the notebooks on display, very important sources for understanding culture and society.
