On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Federico Fellini's birth, the historic center of Rimini is invaded by shows for an evening of celebrations.
The most awaited moment,is the big street party on January 20. At 5.30 pm, from the Malatesta Castle, home of the future Fellini Museum, a colorful procession will start guided by the Musicians of San Crispino, which will precede the children's parade with the drawings of their dreams, their tribute to the most visionary among all dreamers. At 6.00pm the procession will arrive in Piazza Cavour for the show of the internationally acclaimed illusionist and performer Kai Leclerc, with the show 'Fellini up side down', the attempt to surprise the public by projecting, in an upside down world, some of the most famous scenes from Fellini's films. To accompany Leclerc, Elisa Barucchieri, an exceptional aerial dancer who will bring the show from heaven to earth and again from earth to heaven. Together with the Fidelio company, Barucchieri will alternate with the show of Leclerc to bring the public into a dreamlike world, to relive the Fellini atmosphere.
At the end of the show, at 7.00 pm, in Piazza Cavour, the cutting of the monumental Cake of Dreams - about 2 meters high - made by the master pastry chef Roberto Rinaldini who personally reinterpreted the director's favorite dessert: 'Zuppa inglese Fellini 100'.
Also on 20 January, from 10.00am to 2.00pm, Castel Sismondo hosts Poste Italiane, on the occasion of the issue of a stamp dedicated to the centenary of Fellini's birth.
