Museo della Città 'Luigi Tonini, via Tonini 1 - Rimini historic centre

Five days of meetings, round tables, book presentations, guided tours... where we can read the past to understand the present and build our future with greater awareness.
The inspiration for this year's edition, the XXII in its history, is the Raffaello exhibition in Rimini. The return of the Diotallevi Madonna that the Luigi Tonini City Museum welcomes from 17 October 2020 to 10 January 2021.
As the title states, the program is dedicated to passions, which can become MAGNIFICENT OBSESSIONS.
Between history, literature, philosophy, archeology, art, anthropology, sport ... the Ancient World Festival expands into several days of appointments (14, 16, 17, 18, 21 October) with the involvement of important scholars starting with the guests of the opening day, Alessandro Vanoli, Maurizio Bettini and Piero Meldini, which will alternate at the City Museum (Wednesday 14 October from 3.30 pm). The farewell of the Festival, scheduled at the Galli Theater on Wednesday 21 October at 18.30 and entrusted to Massimo Recalcati, has instead been canceled. Prudently the expected meeting, that had already sold out from the first booking day, has been postponed to 2021.
Alongside the initiatives for adults, the Piccolo Mondo Antico Festival is back on Wednesday 14, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18, with new proposals for younger people and all in the name of game, creativity and fun.
On Wednesday 14, Saturday 17 and Sundayac 18 there will be guided tours to discover monuments and museums and a program of historical re-enactments by the Legio XIII Gemina Rubico will bring to life the spaces of the Surgeon's House and the Garden of the City Museum named after Khaled al-Asaad.
Also the original museums of Rimini Province - such as Bellaria, Cattolica, Riccione, Santarcangelo, Verucchio - partecipate with a network of events, gathered within "The Elsewhere Festival".
