The Aviation Theme Park “G. Casolari ”, is a private non-profit structure, inaugurated in 1995. It is a multifunctional complex that extends over a hilly area for almost 8 hectares. It is the largest park in Italy of its kind and one of the largest in Europe and the world :

The Aviation Museum, which for its external exhibition could be called the "aeronautical museum on the Cold War", was founded in 1988 and developed in the years immediately following after the fall of the Berlin Wall. In fact, the desmanteling of aircrafts carried out of ​​Soviet influence let the Museum gain a historical niche in the postwar period of the second half of the 1900s. The MiG and Sukhoi series can be seen alongside NATO's western counterparts. The Museum, with over forty aircraft, numerous service vehicles, missile and anti-aircraft systems, piston and jet aircraft engines, gives visitors a view on the aviation landscape in a context of green pitches and shady trees. The main pavilion contains the largest and most chronological display of uniforms and flight suits of Italian pilots. There are also objects that belonged to aeronautical heroes, rare photographs, badges, honors and historical documents. The medals awarded to Italo Balbo, the largest organizer of Atlantic crossings and those which celebrate the great flying feats and the journeys of the "Flying Popes" complete the whole.

The Historical Aeromodelling Museum consists of two main structures: a landing strip approved for the world flight championships and a building named after Italo Balbo overlooking the freeway leading to San Marino. A 1:1 replica of the famous triplane of the Red Baron stands out as a Gate guardian next to the entrance of the structure which houses a large number of models for bound or radio-controlled flight, some of which hold the most prestigious world records.

The Study Center on the Yellow Line, founded by the commandant Gianfranco Casolari and Prof. Amedeo Montemaggi who was the greatest researcher on the battles carried out in Italy, which then led to the definitive defeat of the Germans. The Center has produced some fundamental texts that testify in detail the fighting that took place around Rimini and on the Yellow Line, the last German bulwark behind the Gothic Line.

The Cultural Association Sulle Ali della Storia, through the scrupulous work of research, is responsible for reconstructing the memory and cultural fabric of aeronautical development. In addition to the conservation of the pieces on display, there is also the restoration and reconstruction of the operational life of the aircraft and vehicles that are exhibited in the two museums.

Here you can also find the  Museum on the Italian Army which comes from the former Giulio Cesare Barracks in Rimini.

Opening period: from June to September open every day; in the remaining months open on weekends.
In compliance with the last DPCM the Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers, the park is CLOSED to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
