For the fifth consecutive year, La Notte Rosa (the Pink Night) is back and for the first time the event takes place on Friday, the 2nd July.
The Pink Night 2010 is dedicated to La Dolce Vita to celebrate the 50 years of the world famous film by Federico Fellini. A masterpiece that marked an era, fashion and lifestyle, not only in Italy but in the whole world. " La Dolce Vita" is presented not as an evocative event but as a contemporary reinterpretation of a collective mythology that is in line with the original goals of the Pink Night.
Along the 40 chilometers of Rimini Riviera the night will be coloured in pink with beaches, shops and museums open day and night and with performances and entertainment everywhere. The symbols and the historic monuments of the city will be illuminated in pink and so also the Skyscraper that on the occasion celebrates its 50 years. A night that aims to amuse, to create relations and feelings between people. At midnight a great firework display from Bellaria Igea Marina to Cattolica.
Marco Mengoni, Mario Biondi, Nicola Piovani, Afterhours are only some of the protagonists of the Notte Rosa in Rimini, which this year continues all the weekend.
Notte Rosa starts on Friday with a concert by AFTERHOURS at Corte degli Agostiani at 9 pm. The famous Italian rock band will propose a mix of music with the readings of Ennio Flaiano (who wrote the screenplay with Fellini in “La Dolce Vita”), special guest ENRICO VAIME. Contemporaneously in 8 locations there will be performances by the street artists LA NOTTE DEI BUSKERS, with comedian acrobatic theatre, puppet videos, clowning, juggling and much more. At 10 pm in Piazzale Fellini MARCO MENGONI will be on stage, the winner of the Sanremo award as the new talent of the Italian music scene. After the fireworks at midnight on the same stage there will be MARIO BIONDI in concert, the Italian black voice. At dawn, you can wait for the sunrise accompanied by the notes of the Oscar winner NICOLA PIOVANI on the Riminiterme beach. A quintet concert with music written for films and theatre, specially remaked by a small group of soloists, including the author playing the piano.
On Saturday Assalti al cuore presents a concert-reading, The Little Prince by Antoine De Saint-Exupery, with CATHERINE SPAAK and at the Darsena there will be the third edition of Gran Ballo liscio (folkdance competition).
On Sunday 4th July there will be a unique musical event with the extraordinary participation of MARKUS STOCKHAUSEN, the son of the great composer Karl-Heinz Stockhausen.

Mod'Art - The Protagonists of "Bellessere" is a fashion show organized by Confartigianato Rimini in the Pink Night's week-end.
Dedicated to the business enterprises which excel in the market of Fashion, Beauty and Wellness in the territory of Rimini. The event involves, businesses firms, fashion schools and the University of Fashion in Rimini.
The evening show is presented by Patrizia Deitos, singer, model, presenter, showgirl, who partecipated in the final for Miss Italy.

Cracking Art Group: Exhibition and installation in the city
Large fuchsia colored snails arrive in the city. Rimini is an important step in the REgeneration project which has begin its “tour” in Milan at the end of last year. The snails represent three metaphors: the listening because it recalls the "form" of the human ear, the living because it brings its house with it, the modern technology of graphics which refers to the communications networks. And at last, the project REgeneration by Cracking Art Group has another important value: the snails are made of recyclable plastic to an ethically responsible approach to the environment.
For the first time, together with the installation of snails, there will be an exhibition which illustrates the work of all individual members of the group in order to show all aspects of this artistic movement.
Added to the exhibition there will be a video and a photographic documentation of Rimini hinterland.

Mimmo Rotella: la felicità dello strappo
Mimmo Rotella, from Calabria, presents "happiness in the rip" (la felicità nello strappo). On shows works and serigraphies with collage tecniques typical of this artist, known all over the world for his artistically ripped placards and posters.
In its caotic architectural and urbanistc structure, Rimini is very similar to this aestetic experience and everyday life becomes a reflection of art.

Car show of cabriolet cars from the 60s and 70s. Aboard each car there are the "ladies in pink" and the car parade becomes a fashion parade. Organized by Confcommercio in collaboration with Scuderia HF in Santarcangelo di Romagna
Friday, 2nd July: 4 pm to 7 pm - Exhibition of about 40 cars in the event "Bella d’Estate" followed by a summer market and folk festival with live music (in the corner of Via Latina) until midnight.
Saturday, 3rd July: 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm – Exhibition of the cabriolet cars; at 5 pm departure of the car parade along the beach promenade towards Piazzale Boscovich with a stop in Piazzale Marvelli. The return by the parade will be along Viale Vespucci, Viale R. Elena and Viale R. Margherita.
At 7 pm arrival of the car parade on the beach promenade Spadazzi and at 10 pm election of "Miss Cabrio Belle d’Estate 2010”.

The tour, that will start and return in Rimini, leads through castles, fortresses and old Malatesta villages in Rimini hinterland in order to discover aromas and flavors of Romagna with a sea view from the hills. The Little Prince with Catherine Spaak
“The Little Prince” (Le Petite Prince), the musical poem by Antoine De Saint-Exupery, will see the exceptional presence of Catherine Spaak as narrator. The original music is proposed by four musicians who collaborate with Catherine Spaak since many years. The book Le Petite Prince was published for the first time in 1943 and it is considered one of the most famous literary works of the twentieth century. A concert-reading with a beautiful lighting design in a suggestive scenary made also with the video projections of the original designs.
