Fellinianno 2013
Under the name of “Fellinianno 2013”, symbolically inaugurated in November 2012 with an exhibition at the City Museum dedicated to Fellini’s Libro dei sogni (Book of dreams), Rimini offers a list of events organized and promoted as a tribute to one of the main artists of the XX century, in occasion of the 20th anniversary of his death, and in order to celebrate some of his masterpieces. In this way, the whole year will be full of events concerning Fellini.
After a Summer full of concerts, meetings, conversations, exhibitions, movies, performances, ballets, in Autumn the list of programs is about to come to an end, offering another large variety of initiatives: exhibitions, series of meetings, theatrical shows, movies and documentaries, presentations of recent publications, and much more, to end up joining the programme of the “Longest New Year’s Eve of the World.” Some of “Maestro”’s friends and collaborators will alternate to experts of his movies in order to offer memories, testimonies, and a larger information about his work. In November, the new edition called “Amarcord film festival” will join the programme of this last piece of Felliniano 2013.
A entire room of the Museum is dedicated to the Book of dreams (free entrance). It is made up by two original albums on which, from the Sixties to 1990, Fellini noted down and drew some inventions from his lively dreamlike activity, a repertory of images, circumstances and themes living in his own movies; a nocturnal diary from which he took his endless imagination, and which will finally come to light from a caveau to be an important guest in the spaces of the museum of the town, next to other precious objects which own in themselves the memory and the identity of Rimini.
