Safety, safeguarding of the relationship with customers, re-protection of events, new formats. These are the drivers that guide IEG (Italian Exhibition Group ) for the reopening of the ‘Palacongressi’ and the 'Fiera' in Rimini.

Thus, starting from the preparation of rigorous hygiene and health protocols, the new agenda safeguards and reprotects some of the events that have been stopped by the health emergency.

For example, the Anmco congress (cardiologists), the first event re-confirmed in Rimini from 27 to 29 August and the 8th National Congress of Diabetology that will take place at the Palacongressi di Rimini from 2 to 5 December 2020. In September, from 11 to 13, the GOI (Grand Oriente d’Italia) will instead recover the lost dates. Furthermore, major events such as the Rinnovamento dello Spirito (religious meeting) has reconfirmed its presence in Rimini and the Web Marketing Festival, which after the three online dates on 4,5 and 6 June, will physically take place in Rimini from 19 to 21 November. A good part of international events has also been reprogrammed, starting with the IX edition of the International Strawberry Symposium. Initially scheduled for May 2020, it will take place in Rimini from 1 to 5 May 2021.

In addition to the simple recovery of the consolidated formats, the health emergency has led to concentrate efforts on new ways of conducting conferences. To cope with the paradigm shift that the emergency has put in place, the path of multi-channeling, the integration between digital and the more "traditional" ways of organizing events has been undertaken.

The "live" event is integrated with all the possibilities offered by digital, developing new, dynamic, adaptable formats that bring the "television studio" to the world of events. Through streaming and "aired" simultaneously in multiple rooms, the pavilions will be real containers for the launch of a product, for a scientific or training event, but in a logic of a TV talk show with the possibility of reaching a large digital audience. This is made possible by structures such as the Palacongressi and the pavilions of the Fair, places of high technological value.
