The Galli Theater hosts the first edition of the Concours Rudolf Noureev created by Daniel Agésilas (formerly Director of the National Conservatory of Paris and partner of Rudolf), and Maria Guaraldi (organizer of major international events in the world of dance), with the sponsorship of the Noureev Foundation and the collaboration of the Municipality of Rimini.
The aim is to pass down to young generations the memory of extraordinary choreographic works, which still constitute the repertoire of the greatest companies in the world.It also appears as a sort of "preview" of a major international event that will see the involvement of the most important dance academies.
The contest includes classes with the Etoiles who will help the candidates to improve their performances.
The Jury of the Award will be composed by Etoiles who had the privilege of dancing with Noureev, or of being mentioned by him, and are now able to pass his baton to the new generations.

Sunday 11th August, special prize-giving evening. The dancers in the competition and guests will honor the repertoire of the great choreographer and dancer. For the occasion at the Galli Theater will be present one of the queens of Italian ballet, Carla Fracci, together with her husband and director Beppe Menegatti. The competition will also include lessons open to all, up to availability of the places provided.
