The photographers of the MotoGP are ‘on the track’ in 'Rimini Racing Shot', to tell over 40 years of history of the circuit ‘Marco Simoncelli’ in Misano Adriatico through images. This is the theme chosen for the 2016 edition of the international photo contest created by Gigi Soldano, one of the best of photographers, and organized by Rimini Municipality in collaboration with Nikon Italy and Dorna.
To choose which one will be the most exciting image will be a special jury of experts - team manager, photographers, journalists - and the finalist photos are published on www.facebook.com/riminiracingshot to be subjected to ‘likes’ and get the 'social award'.
The awarding of the winner of the contest is scheduled on Thursday 8th September at the Galli Theatre. Even this year there is a special award to the most 'lucky' photo, a shot by the photographer who was in the right place at the right time.
In addition to competing images, the space of Sala Ressi hosts a photo exhibition by Fermino Fraternali, a tribute to a veteran photographer of the circuits, the boy who dreamed of being the protagonist on the track beginning with the Romagna Mototemporada, but the fate made him a professional sports photographer.
Rimini Racing Shot, produced in collaboration with D-Perf, Neon Rimini and other companies in the area, is one of the official events World Championship MotoGP 2016 in Misano Adriatico.

In this MotoGP event, the passion of Emilia Romagna for motors is told by 6 local street artist, Arko, Burla, Enko 4, Mozone, Tomz and Rebus
Together with them there are 6 Italian pilots: Andrea Dovizioso, Andrea Iannone, Danilo Petrucci, Luca Marini, Nicolò Bulega, Andrea Migno and Enea Bastianini.
In addition, during the morning the livery of VR46 Sky Racing Team will be unveiled, the same Nicolò Bulega and Migno, besides Lorenzo Dalla Porta, will race with.
After the event the 6 art creations will be transferred to Misano World Circuit, while the public will choose the best through 'like' in the photo gallery that will be published in the fan page of "San Marino & Rimini Riviera - MotoGP" and "Misano World Circuit" with hashtag #VieniOltre #TheRidersLand #ImpossibileNonEsserci #sanmarinoGP.
The works will be autographed by the pilots who will be on the podium in the three classes of the MotoGP and they will be auctioned off as part of the Kiss Misano project, on the Charity Stars platform. The proceeds will go to the population stricken by the earthquake last 24th August.
