The Sagra Musicale Malatestiana renews its attention to ancient music with a series of events with a strong interdisciplinary character, ranging from Renaissance polyphony to 18th century vocal and instrumental music, in the setting of places with strong historical and artistic suggestion.
The music of the Rimini composer Mario Bianchelli (on the occasion of the 450th anniversary of Alessandro Gambalunga's death) returns, preserved in a late seventeenth-century manuscript of the Gambalunga Library and presented for the first time in the concert by the soprano Asumi Motoyama, with Maria Elena Ceccarelli on the harpsichord, Riccardo Mistroni on the baroque guitar and Ettore Marchi to the archlute, proposed (August 21st) in the evocative setting of the library's cloister.
