Christmas would not be Christmas without the traditional production by the Royal Ballet of "The Nutcracker" with music by Tchaikovsky.
The ballet is based on the novel by E.T.A. Hoffmann. The story begins during the celebration of the Christmas holidays in Clara's house and her family, and it continues through a sequence of dreams which lead the girl on a magical journey to the Land of Snow and the Kingdom of Sweets.
