Rimini, streets and squares in the borough Sant'Andrea

The 9th edition of the Folk festival in the Sant'Andrea borough is held on the occasion of the celebration for San Gaudenzo, the Holy Patron of Rimini.
The festival is an opportunity to listen to music, dancing in the street, enjoying the traditional Romagna cuisine and in particular the local typical food. The festival aims to create a bridge to the past through the discovery of ancient venues and with initiatives linked to culture, art and well-being.
In 2017 the Festival re-introduces the theme "Between literature, food and wine" and this year's festival will be dedicated to Piero Meldini, an Italian writer.
The festival features events along the streets Saffi, Covignano, Fosse, Melozzo da Forlì, Montefeltro, Lavatoio and in the Mazzini square where old taverns and venues are present. There will be music, exhibitions, meetings with the authors, documentaries, street artists, markets, gastronomy stands and a lottery with prizes.

Via delle Fosse: ideas, crafts and creativity are present along the street

Via Lavatoio: the 'historic' street hosts a route that, with the help of expert sommeliers, offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in local scents and flavors.

Via Montefeltro: the road that connects the Mazzini square to via Marecchiese will offer a colorful and varied market.

Via Covignano: the so-called old "Polverara" will feature a festival of amusement with games, merchants, gastronomic stands by local producers and from other Italian regions

Car Boot Market

Saturday 14th and 15th October 2017
via Melozzi da Forlì, Rimini Borgo Sant'Andrea
The event of exchanging and meeting

The first Car Boot Market in Rimini will be inaugurated on the occasion of the folk festival in the Sant’Andrea borough.
It is a typically English market, an event where people gather and set up a table next to the boot of their car to sell things they no longer need.
It aims to be 'community event', not a simple exchanging market, but a meeting between citizens and a recycling for the sustainability of the environment and to the community.
After the festival of the Sant'Andrea borough, the Car Boot Market will take place every last Sunday of the month.
