Event by 'La Brigata del diavolo'

'Romagna Osteria' is a project by 'Visit Romagna' that gather the best chefs in the area, who bring their knowledge and culinary flavors to the evocative places of Romagna.
The idea is inspired by the "Manifesto" of the Cuochi Sognatori of the Associazione Brigata del Diavolo, led by the creator Fausto Fratti. The Brigade, was born from the passion for cooking combined with the discovery of the landscape.
It is stimulating for chefs to tell the story, the colors and the flavors enhancing the charm of the places and the beauty of nature. For this reason, the decision to leave their restaurants and move their kitchen to the most unusual sites rich in poetry, art and spirituality. Many are the appointments between May 2019 and May 2020. 
Along this journey, the Brigade has planned two stops in Rimini: Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 September in the Vecchia Pescheria (the old fish market) in Piazza Cavour. On the occasion of the reopening of the fishing season, the cooks will prepare a breakfast / lunch open to the whole city in the morning, then an aperitif at the Teatro Galli and a dinner in the Vecchia Pescheria.
The year will end at the Grand Hotel, a symbol of Rimini's dolce vita, with a Christmas party with all the chefs of the Brigade on Thursday 19th December.

70esima Sagra Musicale Malatestiana-70th Malatesta Music Festival

It is the oldest and most prestigious event in the Rimini area.
In its 70 editions it hosted the greatest musicians in the world including Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, Riccardo Chailly, Mstislav Rostropovich, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Renata Tebaldi, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Zubin Metha, Georges Pretre, Lorin Maazel, Kurt Masur, Valery Gergiev, Neville Marriner , James Conlon, Myung-Whun Chung.
The 70th edition opens its doors to music by hosting the major symphonic orchestras, directors and soloists internationally renowned, as well as original projects where music is linked with other arts. Riccardo Muti opens the calendar of the symphonic events at the Galli Theater on August 3rd with an extraordinary event, a selection from 'Le nozze di Figaro', with the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra.
The debut of Sir Simon Rattle, is eagerly awaited. Successor of Claudio Abbado on the podium of the Berliner Philharmoniker, for the first time in Rimini (August 23) at the head of the London Symphony Orchestra.
On September 3rd, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra will be in Rimini, headed by the young Israeli maestro Lahav Shani, discovered by the great Zubin Mehta.
Jordi Savall will direct the Third and Fifth Symphonies, two Beethoven masterpieces proposed in a 'historically informed' reading thanks to the sound of the original instruments of Hesperion XXI - Le Concert des Nations.
On the podium of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Venezuelan maestro Gustavo Dudamel on December 14th.
Together with the symphonic concerts the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana also proposes the cycles: Percuotere la mente, Musiche Antiche, Produzioni, Maestri del Novecento, Musica da Camera, Maestri Riminesi, Dialetto in musica, I giovani e la Sagra.

70th Sagra Musicale Malatestiana - Progetto Rivale

The Sagra Musicale Malatestiana dedicates an important project to contemporary music with the first Italian performance of Rivale, a chamber opera commissioned for the reopening of the Berlin Staatsoper to one of the most important Italian living composers, Lucia Ronchetti.
Based on a subject elaborated in French by Antoine Danchet in 1701 for Campra's Tancréde, Rivale is a chamber opera for female voice, cello, brass instuments and percussion, entirely focused on the figure of Clorinda, a Muslim princess prisoner and in love with her own enemy.
The Italian premiere at the Sala Pamphili (5 August) will involve young people from all over the world as part of the San Marino International Music Summer Courses project.
In the role of Clorinda, the mezzo-soprano Amira Elmafda.

'Per Documento e Meraviglia. una storia lunga 400 anni.' Exhibition on the occasion of Gambalunga Library 400th anniversary (1619 - 2019)

An exhibition dedicated to the Gambalunga library's vast bibliographic and iconographic collection, to mark the 400th anniversary of its foundation.
A journey through time, from the remote Middle Ages to the present, told through rare and precious manuscripts, globes, books, photographs and films.
Housed between the Galleria dell'Immagine and the splendid ancient rooms of the Gambalunga Library, the exhibition is a real opportunity to visit and admire their precious furnishings and important bibliographic collections. Three of the rooms were set up in the first half of the seventeenth century by the librarian Moretti with severe shelves of walnut while the last room, in Venetian style, was decorated by the painter Giovan Battista Costa in the eighteenth century.

Organ and Choral Festival organized by the AERCO Association

A new festival of sacred music that takes place throughout the region and involves both voices and organs: VOXANIMAE.
Thanks to the participation of several entities (Ass. AERCO and Ass. ARSARMONICA) enclosed in a single 'itinerant' container that moves throughout the Emilia-Romagna Region: from Rimini to Piacenza, from Ferrara to Cesena, from Parma to Ravenna, from Bologna to Modena and Reggio, hundreds of choristers perform in the most suggestive Marian churches and shrines in the area.
In Rimini, on November 24, the Polish organist living in France (Lidia Książkiewicz) performs in the Church of the Servants of Mary, alternating with the Jubilate Deo polyphonic choir from Rimini, directed by Ilario Muro.

The Galli Theater is ready for the new awaited appointment with the opera: the masterpiece of Italian tradition, the Norma by Vincenzo Bellini, with the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra.
This new production, a co-production featuring the Teatro Galli alongside the Ravenna Festival and the Teatro Alighieri, is directed by Cristina Mazzavillani Muti.
The conductor of the melodrama, which Bellini composed based on a libretto by Felice Romani, will be Alessandro Benigni.

From December 2019 to mid-January 2020, every corner of the city becomes an open-air stage with  events of music, art, culture and entertainment that will transform Rimini into the party capital of Italy.
The spectacle offered by the illuminations, exhibitions, Christmas markets, traditional and sand-sculpted nativity scenes, and ice rinks will ignite the atmosphere of everyone’s favourite holiday by bathing the whole city in a new and welcoming light.
The highlight, as usual, will be on 31st December with the widespread new year’s eve performances between the seafront and the old town, from the amazing live concert in Piazzale Fellini, to the many events in the heart of the city.

Traveling exhibition dedicated to Federico Fellini

The traveling exhibition "Fellini 100 and La dolce vita exhibition" will be inaugurated in Castel Sismondo, Saturday 14 December 2019.
The exhibition represents a sort of anticipation of the project of the new Fellini Museum, which will open to the public at the end of 2020.
Set up through a system of "staging" as movie sets, it revolves around three subjects: the first tells the story of Italy from the twenties to the thirties, then it moves on to the post-war period, ending with the eighties through the imagination of Fellini's films.
The second nucleus is dedicated to the story of the director's traveling companions, real, imaginary, collaborators and no.
Finally, the third nucleus will be dedicated to the presentation of the permanent project of the Federico Fellini International Museum. After the Rimini exhibition, the exhibition will begin its journey first stop at Rome in April until June 2020, then crossing national borders with exhibitions in Moscow and Berlin.
Thanks to "Fellini 100 and La dolce vita exhibition" visitors will learn about the unpublished material acquired and kept in the municipal archive.
The exhibition is curated by Studio Azzurro of Milan with the consultation of Marco Bertozzi and Anna Villari.

Between the ramparts of Castel Sismondo and the reborn walls of the Galli Theater, Piazza Malatesta hosts the concert that will animate New Year's Eve in the historic center of Rimini

Matteo Mussoni, a young D.J. from Rimini, will fire up the square from 10.30pm to midnight.

Then DAN: ROS will take possession of the console and make the square dance.

It will then be the turn of one of the most famous Italian groups in the world. Their electronic rock is permanently on every radio in the world, their successes always ready to be danced: the PLANET FUNK. The band will present an electronic version of the new album and the their hits of the last 15 years, in collaboration with some of the greatest producers of the international scene who remixed the band's most famous songs. The historical founder of the band Alex Neri in the role of DVO (director virtual orchestra), Marco Baroni at the synths & keyboards and the original voice of the band, Dan Black.

The party will continue until the morning with two big names in electronic music:
Daniele Baldelli is one of the first Italian deejays, who has forged a new music and created genres like afro -cosmic.
Richy Montanari returns to his hometown, there is no club in the world that does not play his music and not recognize him as one of the most valid DJs on the electronic scene.

Fellini 100: a conference entirely dedicated to this unicum in the history of cinema

Scholars, researchers, academics from all over the world in Rimini to interrogate, investigate and dissect the most famous of the nocturnal journals, the album where Fellini noted, for over thirty years, his oneiric activity, a real source of his overflowing inventive talent.
In fact, the purpose of the conference is to understand whether the Fellini book of cinema can be metaphorically and literally "re-opened", with the confirmation of some lines of study and of new research perspectives, on the occasion of the centenary of the director's birth and in the imminence of the opening of the new Federico Fellini International Museum.
