Biennale Disegno Rimini

Third edition
Website:
Resort:
Rimini, several venues

Thanks to the success of the public and the critics, the third Biennale Disegno Rimini is back, organized by the Department of Culture in Rimini.
Our country is one of the homelands of drawing, the one that has exalted and extended the horizons of beauty and meaning, elevating it to an autonomous discipline, after having been only a step in the process of art-making.
During this new edition the role of drawing, as a symbol of arts for its power to combine and cross them all, is explored in many directions. Title and theme of the scheduled exhibitions is "Visible and invisible, desire and passion - Guercino and the Gandolfi, Duranti and De Carolis, Picasso and Fellini" .
Main protagonists of the event are: the exhibition by Vanessa Beecroft, the works by Picasso and Fellini in comparison, the drawings by Guercino and his famous forger, the drawings by Giorgio Morandi, Alfredo De Carolis, Fortunato Duranti, Sergio Toppi's comics and Jiří Kolář's collage, the works by Davide Benati and many others.
The Biennial calendar presents 33 exhibitions, with more than 2,000 works, a unique corpus of works, hosted in the most beautiful places in the city, from the City Museum to the Domus del Chirurgo, from Palazzo Gambalunga to Sismondo Castle, from FAR gallery to Fellini Fulgor Cinema just restored. In addition there are the shows of the Open Circuit, which exhibit in private spaces such as galleries, artists' studios and architecture, bookshops.
