A company of artists arrives at the farm "Bright Stream" where they are celebrating the end of the harvest. The farmer woman, Zina,  recognizes the ballerina of the troupe: they had followed dance studies together before she had married Piotr, a student in agriculture. When Zina presents the ballerina to her husband, he remains particularly impressed of the woman's charm. To give a lesson to Piotr, the Ballerina and her partner exhange their dresses and Zina disguises herself as a ballerina and hiding her face behind a mask. Nobody suspect anything at all, neither do Piotr...
