Christmas carols through the streets of Torre Pedrera

Christmas carols will be sung in the streets of the village, according to the ancient tradition that is widespread in English-speaking countries.
Adults but especially children will go from house to house, singing traditional Christmas songs in both Italian and English.
Whoever comes to the windows or the door of the house will be given a song.
Christmas singing is a true gift to the community, with its ability to unite people of different ages, cultures and backgrounds.
Everyone can participate and no singing skills are required, the aim is to come together and give smiles.

Father Christmas Cycling Tour 2023

15th edition of the cycling tour and 4th edition of the Christmas walk

15th edition of the Father Christmas Cycling Tour. The route consists of 3 stages Rimini - Bellaria - Santarcangelo - Rimini and can be covered by bicycle or on roller skates.
Along a different route in Rimini, it will be possible to participate in an 8 km walk.
Participants will be given a Father Christmas hat and on their return there will be refreshments waiting for them.
The event is organised by the UISP Territorial Committee of Rimini, in cooperation with ASD fun Bike.
Registration 5 €. The proceeds will be donated to charity to the association La prima coccola in support of children and families hospitalised in the neonatal intensive care unit of the Nurse Hospital of Rimini.
In the event of bad weather, the initiative will be postponed to Sunday 24 December.

Concert by the Terra Promessa Choir

Among the evocative golden stuccoes of the Chiesa dei Servi, peace is celebrated with music, songs and words.
The Terra Promessa choir from Cesenatico, led by Maestro Marco Balestri, performs in concert. Some musical pieces are performed on the cello by M° Claudio Casadei and on the piano by M° Franco Benedetto Morri. Narration by Antonio Maria Magri.
The programme consists of ten pieces. The opening is 'Gaudete' (a cappella), followed by the French folk song 'À la crèche, mon voisin'. George Friedrich Händel is the author of the third piece, 'Joy to the World', followed by 'In notte placida' (François Couperin) and the anonymous composition 'Verbum caro factum est'. The second part of the concert begins with the Prelude from Johann Sebastian Bach's 'Suite in G major', and continues with Gabriel Fauré and his 'Lullaby. Dolly suite', with Jean Baptiste Lully and the 'Marche des Rois Mages' and the Gregorian chant 'Adeste fideles'. Closing is the Christmas song par excellence, 'Stille Nacht' by Franz Xaver Gruber.
The concert is promoted by the Acli Rimini, the Laboratorio "Se vuoi la pace prepara la pace" of the Istituto di Scienze Religiose in Rimini, the Istituto Superiore di Scienze Religiose "Alberto Marvelli" of the Dioceses of Rimini and San Marino - Montefeltro, the diocesan Social Pastoral Office, the Parish of Sant'Agostino, and the association Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII.

The Sagra Musicale Malatestiana hosts a concert that once again focuses on young musicians.
The Rossini Cellos Orchestra is an ensemble of 20 talented cellists, which ranges across a vast repertoire, including both original compositions and adaptations of pieces from different musical genres.
The versatility of the string instruments and the musicians' mastery allow them to explore new sounds and enrich the musical landscape with unique interpretations.

Italo Di Fabio. Overexposed photographer and underexposed author

The exhibition, curated by Giorgio Conti, in collaboration with Gruppo Fotografico 1826 and Biblioteca Gambalunga, and conceived with the collaboration of Patrizia Poggi, aims to reconstruct the author's creative and technical evolution over more than sixty years of photographic experimentation. 
The exhibition is divided into seven thematic sections, based on a narration through original images, where the protagonist is black and white analogue photography, from the late 1950s to the early 1970s, period of Italo Di Fabio's international success.
On show more than sixty silver-salt photographic prints and early colour experiments from the late 1960s are on display.
In addition to Italo Di Fabio's photographs, there are also some images by his mentor, Vittorio Ronconi, generously lent by the Centro Italiano di Fotografia d'Autore in Bibbiena.
The opening of the exhibition takes place on Thursday, 14 December at 5 p.m. in the presence of the author and opens with a screening of a video interview with him at the Cineteca Comunale.

Fellini/Trubbiani: E la nave va

Exhibition at the Fulgor Palace - Fellini Museum

In this special year for the number of Fellini anniversaries (from the 70th anniversary of I vitelloni to the 60th of 8½, from the 50th of Amarcord to the 40th of E la nave va to the 30th of the Oscar for lifetime achievement and the death of the director), the Fulgor palace inaugurates the exhibition Fellini/Trubbiani - E la nave va (1983-2023), promoted by the Fellini Museum in Rimini.
On show are more than forty pieces, including photos, sketches and drawings, that tell the genesis and realisation of one of the protagonists of the film whose 40th anniversary occurs this year and which has become the symbol of the Fellini Museum: the rhinoceros, or rather, the love-sick rhino, first locked in the hold and then, in the finale, rescued on the lifeboat.
Valeriano Trubbiani, sculptor and engraver, is also responsible for the invention and realisation of the Austro-Hungarian battleship.
