Rimini enhances tourism mobility services: sustainable, easy and fast

From the Easter period a rich integrated system of services and various modes of transport comes into operation focusing on the needs of passengers, with new opportunities that integrate with the proposals already launched in past years.
 

> SHUTTLEMARE RESTART: FROM 16 APRIL ON WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS, FROM 2 JUNE EVERY DAY
Reach the sea for free, without a car. For the first month and a half, the service is active on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and holidays, while from 2 June to 11 September every day, from 9:00am to 9:00pm.
To use the service, just download the Shotl application, thanks to which you can book a shuttle bus departing from the local public transport stops or from the parking lots (Ponte di Tiberio, Caduti di Marzabotto, Settebello, Fantoni, Syndicates, Clementini, Garden, Chiabrera, Palacongressi). Reservations can be made both on a scheduled basis and in real time.
With Shuttlemare it is possible to get on from any local public transport stop located before the railway and get off at any railway stop near the beach area.The area served by Shuttlemare is bounded by the SS16 state road to the sea and by the Marecchia river and viale Siracusa. The destinations can go from the canal port to Beach 100. You can book your own shuttle for up to 5 passengers.

> METROMARE: THE TRANSPORT SERVICE BETWEEN RIMINI AND RICCIONE COMFORTABLE, ECOLOGICAL AND SAFE
During the summer the frequency of departures increases from 15 to 10 minutes. The ExquiCity18T electric vehicles, in addition to being ecological, guarantee travel comfort and safety for passengers. The capacity is 142 seats. On board, the monitors communicate the situation of the journey and the stops to follow, as well as information of a general nature. The Metromare is active every day, including holidays. From Rimini the first route starts at 5.30am (6.30am on holidays) and the last one at midnight. From Riccione the first route starts at 5.26 am (6.26 am on holidays) and the last one at 00.24 am. The vehicle completes the entire route in about 23 minutes. The timetables of the services are published on the website www.startromagna.it in the section dedicated to routes and timetables. On the website, in the Metromare section (http://metromare.startromagna.it./) it is also possible to check departures in real time.


> WITH RAIL SMART PASS A SINGLE TICKET TO TRAVEL ON REGIONAL BUSES AND TRAINS
A single pass for unlimited travel on regional trains and buses throughout Romagna. A travel ticket designed especially for tourists and occasional commuters, which aims to encourage the use of public transport and suggest new routes to discover the area.
Rail Smart Pass offers 3 or 7 days of unlimited travel on the entire Start Romagna bus network - including the Metromare - and on the Trenitalia Tper regional trains along the Cattolica - Rimini - Ravenna, Rimini - Faenza - Castel Bolognese, Castel Bolognese routes - Lugo - Ravenna and Faenza - Russi - Ravenna.
The integrated service, supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region, is the result of the agreement between Trenitalia Tper and Start Romagna. Rail Smart Pass can be purchased at the Start Romagna Bus Points in contacless card format, which can be activated with the first validation at the station or on board the bus, via the myCicero App in digital pass format, with automatic activation on the first day of validity of the chosen period. >EASY PAYMENTS ON BOARD START ROMAGNA VEHICLES
Thanks to StarTap it is possible to pay for the trip on board the Start Romagna vehicles with contactless credit, prepaid or debit cards in a simple, fast and safe way. The validators enabled for electronic payments are easily identifiable by their emerald green color. The system also accepts virtualized cards in smartwatches or smartphones, guaranteeing ease of payment, security and privacy. The system, based on EMV technology, adds to the traditional payment methods available: paper tickets, purchases from on-board ticket machines (where available) or through the dedicated apps Roger, Muver, DropTicket® and myCicero®.


> CONFIRMED THE MICROMOBILITY SERVICES IN SHARING
The fleet of electrified vehicles available to Rimini residents and tourists for the summer of 2022 includes over 800 Bird scooters and 500 Lime scooters and 300 free-floating e-bikes. Also active in the area is "Corrente", the 100% electric free-flow car sharing service already active in Bologna, Ferrara and Casalecchio di Reno. Fifty 100% electric Renault Zoe are available and can be booked and driven only by downloading an app: you can book the ride from your smartphone and pay by credit card. The electric Zoe have a range of over 300 kilometers and parking on the blue lines is free. 'Corrente' can also be used outside Rimini by returning the car to an area covered by the service, organized by Tper.


> BIKE PARK
Those who arrive at the Bike Park with a Tper regional train ticket with destination Rimini, on the same day of validity of the ticket, have one more day free of bike rental or, for couples, a 50% discount on rental rates. In addition, the rental service of the cargobikes has been doubled from 3 to 6 and is for free until the month of July. Many services offered by the Rimini Bike Park: guarded parking, bicycle rental (single-speed, six-speed or electric, cargo bike), bicycle workshop equipped with mechanical assistance and information 7 days a week, 10 electric bicycle charging stations, accessories shop , new laundry service and a small bar. And for those who are passing through and would like to stay only for a few hours in the city, it is possible to use the luggage storage (€ 4 per bag for 24 hours). An additional opportunity to discover the area by bicycle, thanks to the over 130 km of cycle and pedestrian paths that connect the sea, the center and the hinterland.


> THE CHARGING FOR 'BE CHARGE' ELECTRIC CARS CONTINUES
'Be Charge' is one of the most widespread networks of public charging infrastructures for electric vehicles. Thanks to the installation of about 50 charging stations on municipally owned areas, in some cases including fast charge methods, the platform is able to offer an efficient charging service to all owners of electric vehicles. To recharge at the Be Charge charging stations, simply install and register on the "BeCharge" App which can be downloaded for free from the Google Play and Apple App Store AppStores.
