A calendar of summer events from June to September: if you are staying in Rimini during the summer you will find something suitable for any taste and any age. From dusk till late at night, the city proposes concerts, historical walking tours, exhibitions, sport events, traditional folk festivals and markets. During the month of July many of the major events are dedicated to children and their families.

After the weekend of La Notte Rosa (The Pink Night), 6th – 8th July, the great summer festival which, this year, has been preceded by the Molo Street Parade on June 30th, do not miss the initiatives organized to discover Rimini, the city of art, keeper of archaeological treasures, art, and monuments of international importance, such as the Surgeon's House. Among the cultural events on schedule, the concert with Ennio Morricone in the month of August.

  Rimini, historic centre and the beach promenade
  100 - Days Party
  Every day Rimini welcomes tourists and visitors by offering them a lot of occasions of entertainment with culture, sport, music, tradition, food-and-wine tasting. More than 500 events, organized by the local Tourism Committees, are awaiting for you from June to September: 100 day-long festival will liven up squares, streets and the beach promenade from Torre Pedrera to Miramare.

  Rimini City Museum
  Guided tour to the archaeological site of the Surgeon's House (Domus)
  After 2000 years, the archaeological site of the Surgeon’s Domus has opened to the public. It has become famous in the world owing to its unique archaeological finds - one of the richest surgical and pharmaceutical equipment of the ancient times - now kept in the nearby City Museum where you can also admire works of art from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century. 
  Guided tours to the archaeological site are proposed every Friday at 9.30 pm.
  The visit is included in the Museum’s entrance ticket, while it is free for the owners of Rimini City Pass.

  Rimini Antiqua – Antiques, Modern and Vintage Exchange Market
  Held on the last Sunday of every month (except in July and August), the beautiful historic centre of Rimini hosts the Rimini Antiqua market. Not only valuable antiques, but also antiques of the modern era as well as vintage curiosities, ceramics, furniture, glass and silverware as well as jewellery are proudly displayed. Organised by the Rimini Art association, this market is sure to display only original antiques!

  Every Friday evening Rimini town centre is enlivened by the curious stalls of the typical antiques, artistic handicrafts and collectors' market

  National Motor-cycle Museum and monthly Exchange exhibitions
  The National Motorcycle Museum was firstly created owing to the work of three friends in 1993 and it is still existent today only 5 km away from the previous location.
  In the museum you can find: 250 motorcycles from their origin to nowadays; an exhaustive library of approximately 10.000 original books on the history of motorcycles; old accessories, posters and photographs from the world of motorcycles.

  Percuotere la mente – Festival of New Music
  Every summer this important music event in Rimini turns to new sonorities straddling the border between present and past, world music and lost folk traditions, classical and "extraclassical" music.
  The event will begin with a preview 2nd July in the Inedited World Music Festival with as special guest Maria Pia De Vito, singer, composer and arranger and active as jazz musician. The opening of the festival is 3rd July with the group Incognito who will propose their most significant hits.

  Strolling in the past
  Guided tour through Rimini historic center
  Every Tuesday morning in Summer it is possible to participate to a guided tour in order to discover the most interesting monuments of the city, representing different historical ages, such as the Ponte di Tiberio, the Arco d’Augusto, the harmonic shape of the Fontana della Pigna, that enchanted Leonardo da Vinci, as well as the splendid Tempio Malatestiano.
  The ticket also provides the opportunity to visit the City Museum and the Surgeon's house at the end of the route or on a following day of the same week,
  Participants are kindly requested to wear suitable clothes for the visit inside the churches. The city guide offered translation in English, German and French.

  The Pink night (La Notte Rosa)
  A night where the forty kilometre coast of the region turns pinks for the fifth consecutive year. The shops and the museums will be open through the night and visitors will be offered concert, shows and entertainments everywhere until daybreak. Dubbed the Summer’s New Years Eve party, the Pink Night is a night for meeting new people and having a good time. At midnight, pink fireworks along the coast from Bellaria to Cattolica will light up the sky, and revellers are able to party until the early hours!

  Dance under the Roman Arch
  Dance Festival on the stage in the suggestive setting of the Roman Arch of Augustus with the participation of many italian and foreign artistic schools and famous artists from the world of dance. The disciplines are:

  - classic and contemporary dance
  - ethnic dance (flamenco, oriental dance, capoeira, country, caraibic, african dance, Argentine tango)
  - folk dance from Romagna (mazurca, polca, valzer)
  - Russian popular dances

  Streetbasket
  The FIBS Finals is the final event of a circuit consisting in more than 110 tournaments 3vs3 and 5vs5 streetbasket throughout Italy. In the competition will take part the top teams of the tournaments. During the three days are organized contest of shooting, dunks, free style and hip hop in the spirit of urban and street venue. All events will have in the background the best hip hop music, with the presence of nationally known DJs.

  K. Scarlatti - Baroque music festival
  After five successful editions of the BWV-BACH festival, dedicated to Johann Sebastian Bach, Sagra Musicale Malatestiana enriches its programme and creates a new audience. This year’s event with Baroque music will take inspiration from the musician Domenico Scarlatti. The festival “K. SCARLATTI” proposes a discovery tour in the music by the Neapolitan harpsichordist and composer through three appointments created specifically for this section of the music festival.

  2012 is the 63rd Anniversary of the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana, one of the most ancient events of Italy. It’s birth dates back to the summer of 1950 when Carlo Alberto Cappelli, supervisor of Bologna’s Teatro Comunale, was charged by the Tourist Bureau to design and organize a series of symphonic concerts with the aim of extending Rimini’s tourist season.
