In its 38th year, the event, SIGEP, confirms its undisputed international leadership as trade fair for professional operators all over the world in the artisan gelato, pastry and baking sectors, together with that of coffee. An extraordinary showcase of everything new and trendy in the 4 supply chains. 

On show, from 21st to 25th January, all the very latest in raw materials, basic products, tools, machinery, furnishing and fittings for artisan gelato, pastry shops, cafés and artisan bakeries. 

Thematic sections, international contests and championships, demos, courses and training seminars and expos all contribute to making it a unique spectacular event. 

Among the great events, worth mentioning are: the Gelato World Cup, the Pastry Events with performances by International masters, the event Pastry & Culture, the Italian Barista Championship, Barista & Farmer, Bakery Events and many others.  

In addition, AB Tech, the 5th International Expo of technologies and products for the bakery, pastry and confectionery sector is held simultaneously. 

At the ‘bakery pavilion’ another world event is the final of Bread in The City, in which the four finalist nations of 2015 and the four finalists of 2016 will face off for the title. 

International relations are guaranteed by a network of collaborators that involves forty countries. To match up supply and demand in the best way possible, for years now there has been the project Top Buyer from Five Continents, which allows participants and foreign buyers to set up a series of meetings to be held at the expo.
Last, but not least, since 2014 there is also the www.sistemasigep.com platform, useful for opening gelato parlours all over the world; since 2015 SIGEP is collaborating on the prestigious project for the certification of Italian Gelato parlours abroad, with the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
