Rimini presents the show schedule of 100 events dotted throughout 2016: from the gardening exhibition Giardini d’autore, which will debut on Friday 18th March and return on the last weekend in September, to new musical events like  Music Inside Rimini – an event that combines the entire professional lighting technology, sound and clubbing market and that will also attract some of the most important DJs on the international music scene -, Rimini Park Rock, which will kick-start summer with real punk-rock legends like Offspring, Pennywise and Good Riddance, and finishing with the event organized by the Spiagge Rimini network, Un mare di Sound (A Sea of... sound), which will deliver loads of music along 3 km on the beach on the Saturday of the Notte Rosa (“Pink Night”). And then there are the big live concerts with the most prestigious names on the Italian music scene which, in the upcoming months, will see take to the stage Baglioni and Morandi, Max Gazzè, Ezio Bosso, Stadio, Elio e le storie tese, Marco Mengoni and the prestigious batons of the Sagra musicale Malatestiana (Symphonic music festival).

Among consolidated events there are the Notte Rosa, the Molo Street Parade, the longest New Year’s Eve in the world. Other events are dedicated to food experience like ‘Al Meni’, an encounter between famous chefs captained by chef Massimo Bottura and local producers inside and outside a circus tent, and the first edition of Mercato Europeo (European Market) which will bring street food from all over Europe to Rimini and will also be a chance to welcome German guests with Meine Romagna, a welcoming party for Pentecost. Many are the cultural events starting with the return of the Biennale festival which,  from the 23rd April to the 10th July, will put on 27 shows, and display 2 thousand pieces for the second edition of the Biennale del Disegno, dedicated to drawing, with the title “Profili dal mondo” (Profiles of the World) that this year will explore the history of drawing as a natural and anthological depiction of the landscape.

The sporting events start with the event that has symbolized the beginning of the beach event season for years: the Paganello Frisbee tournament, followed by the world’s most colourful race, the Color Run, then the Triathlon Challenge¸ the return of the historical car race that excites for kilometre after kilometre, the ‘Mille Miglia’, the Rimini Marathon and finally the Riviera Beach Games.

This year the Rimini events calendar contains an integrated proposal that harmonizes the excellence of the countryside with a focus dedicated to ‘special goings on’ during the year in Valmarecchia and Valconca.

Every day and every evening, all the way from Rimini to the Malatesta fortresses and castles, you can choose from over 100 large and unique ‘non-material products’, 1,000 things to do in a year, 500 just in summer. It will be action-packed excitement.
