A calendar of events from September and further in Autumn: if you are staying in Rimini during the following months you will never get bored. After the great events of the summer, the city proposes symphonic concerts, guided tours, exhibitions, sport events, traditional folk festivals and markets.

The concert by Morricone is just one of the many events of cultural value that has characterized this second part of the summer in Rimini. Among them the symphonic concerts of the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana (symphonic music festival) and several art and photo exhibitions from late August onwards.

Guided tour to the archaeological site of the Surgeon's House (Domus)
After 2000 years, the archaeological site of the Surgeon’s Domus has opened to the public. It has become famous in the world owing to its unique archaeological finds - one of the richest surgical and pharmaceutical equipment of the ancient times - now kept in the nearby City Museum where you can also admire works of art from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century.
Guided tours to the archaeological site are proposed every Sundayat 3.30 pm.

Every Tuesday morning in Summer it is possible to participate to a guided tour in order to discover the most interesting monuments of the city, representing different historical ages, such as the Ponte di Tiberio, the Arco d’Augusto, the harmonic shape of the Fontana della Pigna, that enchanted Leonardo da Vinci, as well as the splendid Tempio Malatestiano.
The ticket also provides the opportunity to visit the City Museum and the Surgeon's house at the end of the route or on a following day of the same week,
Participants are kindly requested to wear suitable clothes for the visit inside the churches. The city guide offered translation in English, German and French.

Exhibition by the Meeting Foundation and the City Museums
The exhibition highlights one of the masterpieces in the Italian painting of the fifteenth century, the most important work of art hosted in Rimini City Museum. It is the Dead Christ Supported by Angels by Giovanni Bellini, the great painter who introduced the Renaissance art in Venice around the year 1450.  This exhibition aims to be iconographical through a comparison with other beautiful works of the fifteenth century. Sagra Musicale Malatestiana 
It is one of the ancienties and more important events in the territory of Rimini. It’s birth dates back to the summer of 1950 when Carlo Alberto Cappelli, supervisor of Bologna’s Teatro Comunale, was charged by the Tourist Bureau to design and organize a series of symphonic concerts with the aim of extending Rimini’s tourist season.
Since then, the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana has hosted the most prestigious conductors, soloists and orchestras firmament of international music and is one of the most precious cultural and civic heritages as well as a prestigious cultural event, among the most long-lived in Italy. The performing Orchestras of this year edition are: the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, the London Simphony Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra of St Petersburg and the European Union Youth Orchestra.

In the programme music by the Flemish Masters such as Orlando di Lasso, Cipriano de Rore and Jaques Arcadelt and their contribution to music in Venice. The choir is conducted by Peter Phillips. The concert is the conclusion of an intensive week of workshop and study of choral music with Peter Phillips, Ghislaine Morgan and Andrea Angelini.

International gran prix of vintage cars registered between 1919 and 1969
The vintage cars are coming from all over the world to challenge on a route of 1000 km with departure and arrival in Mantua.
Rimini is the arrival point of the in-between stops of this long race: in the evening of Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd, all the competing cars will stop in Rimini for suggestive vintage car parades through the city streets.
The main evening event in honour of Tazio Nuvolari will be held on Saturday evening at the Grand Hotel while the beautiful cars will be on show on Fellini square, a few steps from the beach .
The cars will leave the city on Sunday morning around 7 - 9 am to return to Mantua, via Ferrara.
Passing-by the region Emilia, the parade of historic cars will herald the symbolic content of solidarity and expressions of closeness to the populations affected by the earthquake.

Festival Francescano
Rimini hosts the fourth edition of this event, started in 2009 on the occasion of the eighth centenary of the Franciscan Order.
The initiative includes moments of spirituality, study, entertainment, artistical performances, exhibitions and activities for children according to "St. Francis style". The festival is dedicated to St. Clare of Assisi, founder of the Poor Clares and companion of St. Francis, and to all women engaged in society.
On Saturday evening a great musical “Chiara e Francesco. L’Amore quello vero”, is directed by Oreste Castagna, with Italian famous actors such as Marina Murari and Massimiliano Varrese.
All the events are organized in places where people can meet, such as squares and main streets, in order to spend some pleasant time together. Over the years, many important guests habe participated. This year it is the turn of the Nobel Prize for Peace, Rita El Khayat, the president of the Italian Women Theologians Marinella Perroni and many others.
Visitors can approach the most authentic Franciscan spirituality,through four itineraries, group excursions lasting half a day to discover the beauty of the many Franciscan places present both in town and in the nearby hills of Rimini.
You can choose between: "Discovering the Franciscan churches of Rimini", " The Sanctuary delle Grazie on Covignano hill and the Convent of Villa Verucchio "," San Leo" and "Holy Places in Pennabilli".
Not to be missed the exhibition, in Corso d'Augusto, "Women in the Wind": 14 large hand-painted tapestries on the precious ancient canvas of "Pascucci", with original drawings by Tonino Guerra. At the end of the Festival a charity auction will be held for the paintings: the proceeds will be collected for the reconstruction of the Monastery of the Clarisse in Carpi, affected by the earthquake.
There is time till 25th November to visit the exhibition dedicated to Santa Chiara at the Museum of the Town, where the table of Gentile da Fabriano will be on show: "Madonna and Child in Glory with Saints Francis and Clare", a masterpiece of Gothic international architecture in Italy.

The National Motorcycle Museum was firstly created owing to the work of three friends in 1993 and it is still existent today only 5 km away from the previous location.
