From Rembrandt to Gauguin and Picasso. The enchant of painting.Masterpieces from the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston

On show 65 masterpieces of the European painting from the 16th to the 20th century, coming from one of the most prestigious Museum in the world, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. 4 centuries of painting from Tintoretto to Veronese, from Rembrandt to Van Dyck, from Velasquez to El Greco, from Canaletto to Tiepolo, from Manet to Degas, from Monet to Cézanne, from Gauguin to Van Gogh, from Matisse to Picasso.
An exceptional exhibition hosted in Castel Sismondo, the Malatesta Fortress, in the heart of the city.
Date : From Saturday 10th October 2009 to Sunday 21st March 2010

Opening hours weekdays : Monday to Thursday and on Sundays 9am -7pm; Fridays and Saturdays am 9 - 8pm.

From February 13th the opening timetable changes in the week-end: Frid and Sun 9am - 8pm; Sat. 9am -9pm

Adult ticket : 10 €
Reduced price ticket : 8 € groups and over 65; 6 € schools

Programme :

The works of art on display are like a great lesson on the history of art showing 4 centuries of painting from Tintoretto to Veronese, from Rembrandt to Van Dyck, from Velasquez to El Greco, from Canaletto to Tiepolo, from Manet to Degas, from Monet to Cézanne, from Gauguin to Van Gogh, from Matisse to Picasso. 
The materpieces are organized following a project by Marco Goldin and George Shackelford, one of the best art historians, responsible for the department of European painting at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.

The exhibition is organized by Linea d’ombra Libri with the sponsorship of the fratelli Lucchetta's Euromobil Group.

Next to the main exhibitions two other initiatives will take place:
the exhibition of contemporary art: Painting in Italy. Real and intimate landscapes (entrance included in the ticket price)
the initiative Piero della Francesca and the art treasures in Rimini, an unusual itinerary to discover the historic and artistic Rimini under the guide of Antonio Paolucci.

Local cultural initiatives
On the occasion of the exhibition, the City Museum and the Domus archaeological site have the following opening time: 

Tuesday to Friday: 8.30 am - 12.30pm and 5pm  - 7 pm; on Saturdays 8.30am - 7pm; on Sundays and holidays 10am - 7pm. Closed on Mondays. 
Entrance fee payable with reduced price for those who present the ticket to the exhibition.

There are also several initiatives at reduced prices for groups and schools.
